1968 Norton P11A
This P11A is a unique bike and
has been restored/reconditioned from top to bottom, front to rear. The engine
and frame are matching numbers. The bike history has been researched and its
origin and ownerships traced. It has been restored to be a Sunday ride and a
club event bike. There is 500 miles on the restoration. It is currently licensed
with a collector plate.
The engine was completely rebuilt and restored to its original horsepower
specifications. It was balanced to 70%, new main bearings, new connecting rod
bearings, new piston rings, bronze valve guides, and new valve adjusters. The
connecting rods are 0.010” under and the pistons are 0.040” over size. The
camshaft and the cam followers were resurfaced to stock specifications. The
transmission and chassis were also overhauled to original specifications.
The bike comes with an owners Maintenance and Instruction Manual, Parts List
Book, all invoices, ownership tracing documents and some collector magazine
articles on the P11.
