1970/71 Triumph Daytona T100R

Sold 02/18/2012

1970/71 Triumph Daytona T100R; very nice updated/refurbished 500cc unit twin. (Turner’s best engine)…$4200. Vin # NEO1088 T100R. (71 Model year, sold and registered in fall of 70, painted in 70 colors; silver/purple)
The odometer shows 24633 mi.

Extensive refurbishment 01-02 by previous owner, at Raber’s San Jose including:
Forks rebuilt, seat reupholstered, tires, wheel bearings, valve job, over-bored and new rings, lower end rod bearings and seals, new sprocket and Diamond chain, kick start bearings, peg rubbers, petcocks, etc.
Clutch rebuilt in 06.

Since I purchased it in 09 I’ve mainly cleaned it up from storage, worked on making it more user-friendly and prepared it for and passed Phoenix emissions testing. In pursuit of these goals I’ve gone to the popular Boyer Electronic Ignition, and replaced the twin (worn) Amals with a new single carb and manifold (improving mid-range power). Tune-up and other work by Tom’s Ducati. Also added small non-stock turn signals for safety reasons.
New battery March 2011.

Many spares including the original Amal carbs and manifolds, solo seat.
Not a “show bike” but a great rider, runs very strong, refurbished to a very good standard.

Clear title and ready to ride. $4200.
