Every Haynes motorcycle manual is based on a complete teardown and rebuild, and contains hundreds of photos with step-by-step instructions, comprehensive routine maintenance and troubleshooting information, and detailed wiring diagrams.

Using a Haynes manual is like having a mechanic in every book. Mechanics and writers work together on the project motorcycle to arrive at the best possible procedures for the home mechanic and then photograph the actual work and write instructions so the reader can easily follow along. Haynes manuals include procedures for everything from routine maintenance to complete engine overhaul, and include wiring diagrams in the back of each book.

The unique nature of Haynes manuals - with each one written and photographed from the "hands-on" experience gained by a complete teardown and rebuild of the bike - continues to set Haynes manuals apart from all others.

Currently Stocked Manuals for British Motorcycles:

211-117 BSA Bantam Manual
211-121 BSA A7 & A10 Manual
211-122 Triumph 650/750 Unit Twin Manual
211-125 Norton Commando Manual
211-127 BSA/Triumph Unit Singles Manual
211-136 Triumph/BSA T150 & A75 Triples Manual
211-137 Triumph 500 Unit Twin Manual
211-155 BSA Unit Twin A50/A65 Manual
211-187 Norton Pre Commando Twin Manual
211-251 Triumph Pre Unit Twin Manual
211-326 BSA Pre Unit Singles Manual
211-414 Triumph Tiger Cub Manual
211-1083 Motorcycle Basics Manual
211-1454 Motorcycle Workshop Practice Manual
211-3417 Motorcycle Electrics Manual
211-3514 Motorcycle Fuel Systems Manual

While the factory manuals are the most detailed as far as specifications go, they are much more expensive and are more specifically aimed at a particular series of model years than the Haynes manuals (for example, unit Triumph 650/750 twins are covered by one Haynes manual, or four factory manuals.) For this reason, we most recommend the excellently priced Haynes manuals for situations where price is an issue, where the factory manual is not currently available, or where a bike is being built from a variety of years, or to non-standard specs. Regardless of what manual is chosen, it is always critical to have the factory partsbook for the bike being worked on.
